Despite the lackluster reviews and critical panning of Houseful 4, it has managed to rake in a Box-office collection of 50 Crores. The Akshay Kumar lead ensemble comedy's fourth installment deals with the theme of reincarnation and has emerged as a winner against festive releases Saand Ki Aankh and Made In China.

Saand Ki Aankh, directed by Tushar Hiranandani and starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar has only managed 1.80 crores. The true-life story of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, with Anurag Kashyap as a creative mind behind the project, has failed to hold the attention of the movie going audience.

Meanwhile, Mikhil Musale's directorial hasn't fared any better. The movie has crawled its way to a measly 2.5 crore revenue. In spite of being a promising sex comedy, the movie hasn't made an impact on the audience. Once again, the audience responded to the mass appeal in favor of grounded and realistic content, which says a lot about the state of cinema in our country.
