Akshay Kumar To Star in The Bollywood Remake of 'Bell Bottom'

Akshay Kumar hs boarded yet another exciting project. The "Houseful" actor will star in the Bollywood remake of the Kannada action film "Bell Bottom". The remake will be directed "Lucknow Central" director Ranjit Singh. Akshay Kumar will also produce along Nikhil Advani and Vashu Bhagnani.

Released this year, "Bell Bottom: Adventures of Detective Divakar" is an Indian Kannada-language crime comedy thriller film directed by Jayatheertha and written by Dayanand T. K. The film is set in the 1980s, it is the story of Divakara, the son of a policeman, who aspires to be a detective since his childhood. When he becomes a constable, he finally gets his chance at being a detective to solve a robbery case.

The scripting of the Bollywood remake is currently underway and is expected to be completed before the end of this year. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is filming Rohit Shetty's "Sooryavanshi".
