Amar Kaushik's Bala had to go through a lot of controversies before getting into theatres. The film's release date was changed to 7th November from 15th November, then it had to face legal action from the makers of Sunny Singh's 'Ujda Chaman' and then the release date was again shifted to 8th November and finally the film released on Friday the 8th and took the cinemas by storm.
Ayushmann's last film 'Dream Girl' became his biggest opener till date by earning 10.05 crores on the first day, but 'Bala' has broken this record and as per the initial trends, the film has earned about 11-12 crores on the opening day and has become the biggest opener film of Ayushmann Khurrana's career so far.
Bala is the story of a young man whose hair is falling drastically as he goes bald slowly. He adopts all sorts of tricks to grow hair back on his head in a hilarious way. Director Amar Kaushik's film contains comedy and romance as well as a beautiful message. The film also stars Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar alongside Ayushmann in lead roles.
Bala's production cost is 15 crores and looks like the film will recover that amount in the first two days at this speed and Ayushmann is on the verge of delivering another 100 crore and seventh consecutive hit film. After Bala, Ayushmann will be seen working with Amitabh Bachchan for the first time in Shoojit Sircar's 'Gulboo Sitabo' which will be released on February 28th next year.
