"I think it would be completely unfair for me to take the credit for something which is not my creation at all. Esha's costumes have been designed by Pooja and Thea, certainly not me," she asserts angrily.
What irked Hema most was the story that she had insisted on her unused saris being used for Esha in the film.
"That's utter rubbish," she says. "Pooja and Thea had a costume meeting with Esha in which I was present, that's all. And please, I have better things to do, then lending my saris for films," she laughs. Hema is also bothered about the comparisons that people draw between her and Esha.
"Right from the beginning, people have compared Esha with me. This is just not done. One needs to understand that she is my daughter. There ought to be differences in terms of looks and personality. I think people should learn to accept her as an individual.
Earlier, they used to compare her looks with those of mine, now they compare her way of draping her sari with mine," she says.
Hema isn't denying the fact that she is involved in the project, as a well wisher. "I share a very good rapport with Pritish Nandy's family and I have worked Gulzarji in many films. Meghna is just like my daughter, so I am glad to give my inputs. In any case, I always guide Esha in acting because I am more experienced," says Hema.
