Emraan Hashmi has been growing his hair, building up muscles for Mohit Suri's Aawarapan and doing some rigorous kickboxing sessions to tone up his body for nearly three months now.

"Yes, it's true that I have lost weight and built up muscles for the film," Says Emraan, after finishing another schedule of Aawarapan in Hong Kong.

"When we started Aawarapan, Mohit and I realised we would have to do something drastic to tone up my body as my character required it. The character is a lean, mean machine with very disciplined body language. So I took up kickboxing and have lost five kilos during my training."

Last week, Emraan performed at the awards function. He was nervous he says. "Yes. It was very tough for a couple of days. I am not a dancer. Bunty Walia has been pushing me to perform. It is frightening to perform in front of a live audience as I'm an atrocious dancer!"

Emraan laughs on wearing a headband at the award function a la Abhishek Bachchan, "Yes, my hair has grown a lot and since I can't cut it, I wear a head band or my hair looks like a beehive."

"Parveen, my wife loved my performance," he saysEmraan and the unit of Aawarapan recently shot a sequence at the Presidential Suite in the Hotel Inter Continental in Hong Kong.
