The CCSSA is all set to have their first-panel discussion about the nominations in this year's various categories. The writer-director duo of Raj & DK who gave us "The Family man", along with Arjun Mathur from 'Made in heaven' will also be a part of the discussion.

Speaking in elation, Arjun said, "This is a huge nomination for me. Just look at all the stalwarts I've been nominated with. None of these actors come from a film background and each one has slowly won audiences over through years of displaying talent, hard work and grit. As far as awards in India go, I don't think anything gets more credible than this. These are the opinions of our topmost critics - the people we put our trust in, week after week, to help us decide what we should watch and what we can avoid. The platform that CCSSA is providing to short-films and original series' is truly magnificent and so very required in these times, when the audience wants nothing more than original and enthralling content. Even just getting nominated for this award, is already the biggest win for me".

Raj and DK further added, "We are so thrilled to be nominated for our first series. This was an ambitious show right from the beginning, on which we worked very hard for over three years. So glad it is being appreciated so much. The CCSS Awards is a great initiative to acknowledge edgy and varied formats of filmmaking. Kudos for being the first to recognize and give so much credence to both long and short formats!".

Dhruv Sehgal from Little Things will be a part of the panel amongst others. The second season of Little Things is also part of the nominees for this year's awards.

The Film Critics Guild is a panel of renowned critics who form the core committee of the Critics Choice Awards. Ever since it's inception in 2018, The Critics' Choice Awards have received a lot of recognition for rewarding the artists, their craft and their contribution to the art form. As a pan-India guild itself, the critics work towards blurring linguistic and geographical boundaries by curating and finding gems from across the Indian entertainment landscape.

This year is a special treat as the panel has decided to add OTT content into their categories which will only bring more quality content into the light.

The Family Man, Mirzapur, Delhi Crime, Sacred Games, etc are some of the names that have been nominated for this year's awards. Also in the short films section, there are multiple regional projects that have been nominated in Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi. Some of the actors who have been nominated for their stellar performances are Naseeruddin Shah and Kabir Sajid.

In December 2018, the Film Critics Guild and Motion Content Group collaborated along with Vistas Media Capital to announce one of its kind Critics' Choice Short Film Awards which features a body comprising of India's top film critics.

The first edition of the awards was a major success amongst the masses and it is safe to say that this time around, we will see more quality content being presented by artists across the nation.
