Aishwarya Rai has a new role and it`s strictly off-screen. With not too much work on her hands, the doe-eyed actress has enough time to devote to kid brother Aditya, who has chucked up a Merchant Navy career to take a shot at movie stardom.
The close-knit Rai family has thrown its entire weight behind the young man`s efforts. Especially concerned is Ash, who uses all her non-shoot days to advise her brother on his looks, workouts, diet and acting skills.Mama Brinda Rai has already turned a producer with a film starring Ash and Arjun Rampal. By the time Aditya is ready to face the camera, one can be pretty sure that Mrs Rai will have a suitable launchpad in place for her son.
Sounds pretty nice and cosy, but we really wonder what Aishwarya can pass on in terms of emotive power to her brother. The Mangalorean beauty may be the prettiest face around but she certainly isn`t the greatest actress. Hope Aditya doesn`t end up being as synthetic as his sis.
