Small screen diva Shveta Salve recently was awarded the 'Face of the year' award at the Matha Sanman Awards 2007 ( Maharashtra Times Awards) continuing to mesmerize both fans and non-fans. Shveta is currently busy with Left Right Left and her cricket show called Cricket Star, which she anchors.

Shveta who also happens to be a Maharashtrian, felt honoured to be awarded the best face of the year. "It's great to win such an award. And me being a fellow Maharashtrian feels privileged to receive it from my own people."

With her dusky colour and charming personality, she has won most of the hearts ever since she set foot in the tele-world, but what got her rave admiration was the dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in which she proved her dancing skills also as the strong contender till the final round.
