The trailer launch event of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Shikara was held in the city today in the presence of the lead cast Aadil Khan and Sadia. The movie marks Chopra's return to his directorial chair. The trailer has been widely appreciated by the audience and media fraternity that was present at the event. Also, present was music maestro A R Rahman who has rendered the theme melody of the film.


'Shikara' is the director's tribute to his mother. Recently, sharing a special video and taking us back to the valley of the 1990s when the conflict began, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has chronicled the journey of his mother's life and the whole of the valley. Shikara is the story of how Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave the valley.
