Music director Pritam Chakraborty decided all of a sudden to tie the nuptial knot with his long-time girlfriend Smita Bhattacharya in Kolkata.

Pritam was actually visiting his ailing father and seeing his condition, he took a quick decision to marry Smita without any further delay.

They exchanged the wedding vows March 5 in the presence of close friends and relatives at Smita's hometown Nai Hatti, near Kolkata.

The composer is looking forward to hosting a reception for his friends and well- wishers on coming back to Mumbai after March 12.
