/> The off-and-on relationship between television's most charismatic couple Rajiv Khandelwal has now come to a flash-point.

After staying apart for several months, the couple is back together.

Says Rajiv, "Amna and I performed together at the Sansui awards on March 10 at the Andheri Sports Complex. It was a special event...their first tv awards.

People wanted us back together, so here we are. In fact we went live on a news channel on Valentine's Day answering people's questions. We were invited as Television's Most Desirable Couple. We met after a long time on Velentine's Day. But happily, our fans didn't seem to know of our longish estrangement."

Rajiv and Amna now performed at an awards function. "I performed for 14-15 minutes on stage. Amna was with me for 5 minutes. I know people want both of us together. But whether we want to be together in real life would depend on our destiny. We've been very sensible about keeping our screen images and personal rapport apart. That's why our friendship has survived for four years."

Rajiv has been avoiding even attending television awards in recent months. In fact the organizers wanted him to dance with tv star Shveta Salve. But finally the person sharing the stage with Rajiv is Amna.

So what keeps Rajiv and Amna from taking the plunge? "We're two different individuals. The quality that I look for in my soul mate is a comfort level. I'm too selfish and self-obsessed to look for a reflection of myself in my woman.

I'd rather have someone who has qualities other than those that I possess. But right now the thought of marriage doesn't excite me. I want to first enjoy those years of youth that I lost in struggling for a foothold."

"I was excited by being on stage with Amna. The sets weredone by Oomang Kumar. Let's hope I created some dhoom on Saturday."
