Rating: ****

We got a glimpse of Ammy Virk and Tania's chemistry in Jagdeep Sidhu's 'Qismat' and now the duo returns as a lead pair is Sidhu's latest offering Sufna. Going by its name the film can be called a dreamy romantic tale which most of wish we could have.

Jagdeep Sidhu's Sufna has all the elements required to make a perfect romantic saga. Ammy Virk plays Jagjeet and Tania plays Teg and their love story is the one that looks simple but still, is, and extraordinary one that makes you smile and cherish the slice of life it gives you.

Sufna is a soft film that has some pretty well-weaved characters, storylines, and emotions that you can resonate with. The film likely might remind you of someone you know or might have known at some time. While Jagjeet is a young and carefree college student who just falls in love with Teg, she is someone who has seen many hardships in life and finds precious little moments of happiness in what she has.

Her backstory explains a lot about that as she was born to a Muslim mother and a Sikh father who ascended to heaven when she was young. Without revealing much about the film we will say that Jagjeet and Teg's journey is a heart touching one that will win your heart and if you are a guy, it makes you want to fall in love with someone like Teg as she is the one Sufna mostly belongs to.

Thanks to the director Jagdeep Sidhu who also happens to be the writer of the film Sufna doesn't offer sudden unwanted songs breaking the flow of the screenplay. On the performance front, Ammy Virk is in full form here but Tania is the one that steals the show. Jagjeet Sandhu as Jagjeet's best friend and the antagonist of the film does a fine job too.

The music department is well handled by B-Praak as all the songs are already superhit and the soothing music also compliments the storyline.

All in all, Jagdeep Sidhu's Sufna is a film that you don't want to miss at all. It makes you cry, it makes you smile, and it makes you fall in love. Definitely worth a watch!
