So is television is going Bollywood way? "No what is shown on television is not even 10 percent of what we see in films. We know our limitations on television," defends Juhi Parmar.
Incidentally, all the actors that we questioned on the issue said that if the script demands it and the channels want it then there is nothing wrong in it. Ok, so who is the one who adds such scenes to the story?
Surprisingly Renuka Sahane had an interesting comment to make, "Nothing is necessary on television. Television itself is not necessary." This makes us wonder that if it is not so necessary then why put up such stuff?
"The way the scene is shot and presented is very important," says Juhi.
Every one talked about aesthetics and limitations, but what is not clear is where exactly can or will the line be drawn. But one thing is clear. All this is done to boost the TRPs. Everything that is done on television is done to boost the TRPs.
Aroona Irani believes that youngsters do not watch saas-bahu sagas and thus there is no question of them getting disturbed by such things. Channels are not going to stop this.
So if you are watching the serial and do not wish your child to watch the scenes do what Renuka says. "Either switch to another channel or set an example for your kid by not watching such serials at all".
So, the best option is to leave it all up to you. The actors believe you are educated and mature enough! - (SAMPURN)
