It was at the Heathrow airport that Divyanka realised that her luggage had not been boarded from India. Not only hers but her sister's and Ram Kapoor's luggage were also missing. They had been waiting for almost one and a half hours for their luggage to arrive. It was only when they enquired with Air India officials that they learnt about this.
"The irresponsible Air India staff did not even bother to apologise for their mistake. The organisers tried their best to help, but how much could they do? All my personal things were in my luggage," said an angry Divyanka.
It was only the next day that they got back their luggage and had to visit the airport again for that. "The entire process was so irritating," added Divyanka.
"We were like helpless people in a foreign land. It was so terrible." It must have been as they had to remain in the same clothes for the full day.
And that was not enough. When she was heading back, her passport was not being accepted. "There were some updates that had to be made which took one hour and we were getting late for our flight," recalled Divyanka.
This must have been one experience that did not give her a high! But quite some 'vidya' about callous airport authorities. - (SAMPURN)
