Aamir's first success came with 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', this film was a breakthrough commercial success, effectively launching Aamir's career as a leading actor. He made his debut as a film producer with 'Lagaan', which turned out to be a major critical and commercial success and was also a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the 74th Academy Awards. Aamir made his directorial debut with 'Taare Zameen Par', this film got critical acclaim everywhere and Aamir was applauded for his directing skills.

Currently, Aamir is shooting for 'Laal Singh Chadda' in Punjab and he met Pollywood actor-singer Gippy Grewal on the set of the movie who is a huge fan of Aamir Khan & admires his work a lot. Earlier when Aamir came to Punjab in search of locations for his movie, Gippy had helped him in that too and gifted a 'Kada' as a token of love to Aamir Khan. Gippy Grewal is also called the Aamir Khan of Pollywood as the multi-talented man has proved his mettle in all the aspects of entertainment. Laal Singh Chaddha is a comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. It is adapted from American drama Forrest Gump (1994). The movie will hit the screens on 25th Decemeber 2020.
