In an interview, the damsel said was very much uncomfortable with the kissing scene. "I was convinced that it's not at all required in the film but the director was not ready to listen."
However that does not mean that Tannu is looking for performance-oriented roles. She is absolutely comfortable in the glamorous characters she has been portraying.
"The funniest thing when I hear about the phrase performance-oriented, I think of an extremely boring film moving at a very slow pace and I visualize people in the cinema hall sleeping. No way, I would ever want to be a part of such a film."
She firmly believes performance can be in glamour too and people went to see 'Aashique Banaya Aapne' & 'Chocolate' and they liked it.
"I am doing films with all good banners and in lead roles. Not a single film is there with me playing second fiddle. Now, what else is called a performance-oriented role, I don't know."
The shooting star candidly admits she would stick to her glamorous roles till she dies. Glamour according to her is not in the skin show. It is in the appeal.
Tannu cites Rani Mukherjee in 'Black' where there was a lot of appeal in the actress. The actress is not fussy about choosing roles or item numbers.
She did 'Pyar ka signal...' in 'Bhagambhag' just because it was 'Priyadarshan Sir's' film and had Akshay Kumar and Govinda to pair with her. "Actually it's my gut feeling which I follow. I am not the kind of person who plans too much."
She is happy when she is with her family or having a bash with her friends or appreciated for her acting. The success of the item number in Bhagambhag has her in seventh heaven as 'this was totally unexpected.' Tannu believes that 'Bhagambhag' has led her to 'Priyadarshan sir's' 'Dhol.'
Admitting that her foray in to tinsel town was easier than others because she had the Miss India title in her kitty, the dusky beauty from Jamshedpur said she debuted in films because 'I had a title and that's the reason people gave me film offers.'
Tanushree is of the opinion that different portrayals in her forthcoming films would also eventually change her image.
"Being an actress I would like to do different kind of roles. Also I would love to do any Karan Johar movie having lots of colours, lots of light, candy-floss, romance."
