A blogger's hunger strike to dislodge Indian-origin participant Sanjaya Malakar from reality singing TV show "American Idol" seems to be taking its toll on her.

MySpace blogger 'J' has entered her ninth day of starving, reports www.hollywood.tv

To update her fans, she had planned to post a video entry but instead wrote a Sunday night blog that said: "I know I promised you guys a YouTube video, but I am just feeling too tired and weak to do it tonight. I don't even know how I'm typing this right now."

The night before, she cautioned readers not to attempt a hunger strike of their own: "I got a few messages from people that say that they want to join in the strike. I must reiterate again that I do not recommend this. It's really not fun."

Last week, Malakar entered the top 10 in the singing contest, provoking judge Simon Cowell into saying he would quit in case the former won.
