Ekta Kapoor's Kyuni Saas bhi kabhi Bahu Thi has created some of the never ending characters and among them one is Baa, played by Sudha Shivpuri.

She is the perfect match to the character of Baa in the serial. At the age of 56 she is playing the character of 106 years old Baa as she believes that it is a strong and older family member who all the solutions of the family's problems.

According to Sudha Baa has the ability to bind the family members and make it survive all the difficulties.

Sudha said, "Baa is systematic from the very beginning and that has helped her to survive so long." She said that her own mamaji is alive with age around 99 years.

According to her old people led very carefree life and had timely food with lots of physical work. That's the secret of their long live. She said, "People love to see Baa in the serial so I am there. She opined that people wants to see Baa even if she gets 200 years old.

She justifies saying that every family drama is incomplete without an elderly character that adds to the realistic feel. She laughs saying that may be Baa had had an amarphal. She said that the character of Baa is more realistic in the serial as Baa never interferes with anyone's work and stays within herself giving space to each individual.

Commenting on the aged people of today Sudha said that it is the thinking of the people that make them older. She incites, "If you keep saying and feeling that you have wrinkles you will certainly start seeing them too." People should feel young at the heart and mind and that's the secret of living long.

Talking about her busy schedule Sudha admit that she is working almost 30 days in a month. She said, "10-12 days I shoot for 'Kasamh Se' where I play a typical Punjabi witty character and the rest of the month I shoot for 'Kyun Ki....'Sudha is the eldest mother or grand mother of television today which carry a lot of responsibility. She said that she feels the sense of responsibility and she maintains punctuality on the sets.

Commenting on the monotony of kyun ki...she said that people are still watching it because it is the best family serial running nowadays. She opined that if the show was bad then it would have been shut much before. She admits that the serials have gone through some bad phase but now it regains its popularity. "It is very difficult to maintain such a good rating," says Sudha.

Asking about the rape scenes in the serial she preferred to be silent saying she is only a part of the serial and if script demands such act then it is there. She defends saying that nothing has been shown so openly. She starts TV career as a producer but now she don't want to indulge into all this. She thinks that it is not her cup of tea as it is a difficult job.
