Justifying her move to join theatre, Shama who is currently busy with a comedy drama, says, "I really like it because in real life I am not witty. While here I get to laugh a lot at the same time make others laugh too," informs Shama.
Even though we knew the truth, we couldnt contain ourselves from asking her the reason why has she not taken up any leading TV role post 'Yeh Meri Life Hai'? "I really want to take up useful and meaningful roles.
I have gone through a lot of scripts, almost around fifty, but I really did not find anything interesting," said Shama. She says most of these serials have recently come on air also but she did not find them realistic enough. Oh really! Big loss to the television industry.
Shama has also done some anchoring as well and is waiting for a suitable role to get back into television.
"You know I want to explore my capabilities as an artist and discover my newer talents. I do not mind waiting as talent does not go waste, but I do not want to do stupid things as well just for the heck of doing it," adds the actress.
Well Shama, this is the first time we are hearing a statement like this from the mouth of an out-of-job actress. - (SAMPURN)
