Good news for all actor and actresses in Mumbai. Barry John, the renowned acting teacher, has opened an acting institute in the city.
Named ‘The Barry John Acting Studio', this institute will offer a wide range of courses and workshops for both aspiring and experienced actor, as well as directors, writers,
designers and teachers.
The courses will be practical and experimental, employing the most up to date techniques and methodologies. BJAS will also offer customized training workshops for the
cast of new film and television productions.
This Englishmen himself is a well qualified teacher of Drama and he came to India at around 1968 to explore the rich theatrical traditions here. He shifted to Delhi in 1970
and then began his career not only as a teacher but also an actor, director and designer. Ever since then he has been in Delhi and now has decided to shift base to
Mumbai.
Barry is the man who nurtured many talented artists such as Lillette and Lushin Dubey, Siddharth Basu, Khalid Tyabji, Mira Nair, Pamela Rooks, Rituraj Singh, Sanjay
Sujitabh, Diyva Seth, Manoj Bajpai and Shah Rukh Khan.
