However, this time the movie has been directed by B Subhash's daughter Shweta, written by another daughter Malveika and produced by son Aaishwarya under the banner Aaishwarya Movie Productions.
The film named 'Jhoom- Dance with Me Again' as expected is a music-based film.
The film has two songs sung by Adnan Sami and Bhappi is ecstatic. Terming the film as a 'very special for me because B Subhashji and Bhappi Lahiri combination has always been a super hit for twenty five years since 'Disco Dancer' had been made,' the music composer says 'Adnan is a very talented singer.' According to him Adnan is the best choice for this beautiful song.
Exuding confidence that the film would be a great hit, Bappida says 'the trend that Subhashji and I had set since 'Disco-Dancer' has been followed till now in the songs like 'It's the time to Disco'.' He feels 'Jhoom...' is melodious and not just screaming and shouting and loud music.
"It is rhythmic and has my style like in 'Yaar Bina Chain Kahan Re', 'Yaad Aa Raha Hai Tera Pyaar', 'Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba'. The songs are hip-pop style, rhythmic and foot-tapping. I always like melody and every song of this film is melodious", the music director adds.
Not only has he sung the title track of the film, he has had Shaan and his daughter Reema also cut tracks in the movie.
He denies that Adnan, who also is a music composer tried to impose himself. He believes that it would be a fusion between his and Adnan's styles. Bhappi clarifies that the music was not composed keeping Adnan in mind. The music is always composed beforehand. It was after listening to the rough track that they decided on Adnan Sami.
He feels that working with B Subhash's children is a great experience as they share no formalities. He calls them part of family.
"They are very talented. Shweta as a director and Malvieka as a writer are very good. The producer is his son and mine too. I can see their talent and believe that they will be very successful as they have the zeal to do something new. May God bless them!
He is confident that the presence of new stars would not affect the film's prospects. Citing examples Bhappida says 'when Govinda came in 'Iljam' he was a newcomer but he became a hit. Mithun was new in 'Suraksha' but became a super-star.
New stars are new today and will become old tomorrow. I always encourage new-comers. In 'Disco Dancer' I gave a chance to Vijay Benedict and Parvati Khan. In 'Tarzan' it was Alisha Chenoy as a newcomer and Salma Agha in 'Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki'.
We have cast new comers earlier too. Which ever talent we brought forward, like Usha Uthup, has now become pop stars. So we are hopeful that this time too the new comers do well.'
Continuing on Adnan, the music composer says his voice quality is very good and soothing to the ear. "He understands a song and sings it with all his heart." - (SAMPURN)
