And yes, Samir Nair wants to direct a film. That's how much he loves movies.

It was no surprise when Samir showed up at the premiere of Vikram Bhatt's Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee on Thursday night.

However this was no ordinary movie buff catching up on the latest Bollywood flick. Samir showed up to show solidarity with his saali Anjori Alagh who makes her debut in Life Mein... Samir is married to Anjori's sister Sawari.

Says Samir Niar, "Actually I was watching the film for the second time. You know, ghar ki baat and all that. And I enjoyed it even more. I told Anjori she has some dialogues in the film that she can recite in stage twenty years from now when they ask for something from her first film.

Anjori is a surprise. She's been abroad all her life. But she fits in so well with the Bollywood grammar. And I am not sayinf this because she's my saali.

The other performance that took me by surprise was Sammir Dattani. Very confident and intense. We had been trying to get him to do things on Star for a long time. It's interesting to see talent like Anjori and Sammir emerge as the future."

And yes, Samir Nair will be using the two for film-based software on NTDV Imagine.

Also present at the Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee premiere was Kangana Ranaut who was there to provide moral support to Sammir Dattani. Unfortunately Sammir was stuck in rush hour traffic for two hours. By the time he arrived Kangana had to rush home. She had an early-morning flight to catch.
