Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh says Sushant's case will not be transferred to CBI

With the ongoing developments in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide case, Anil Deshmukh, the Home Minister of Maharashtra said that the SSR's death case will not be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and shall be investigated by the Mumbai police.

As per the report of ANI, Anil Deshmukh said, "Mumbai police are investigating the case. It will not be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation". A day before this statement, Sushant's father KK Singh has filed an FIR putting some serious allegations against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty under sections 306, 340, 342, and 406 of the Indian Penal Code.

Responding to the FIR, Rhea filed a petition in the Supreme court demanding the transfer of Sushant's death case from Bihar Police to Mumbai Police. According to reports, after Sushant's father filed the FIR. Bihar police has also joined Mumbai Police in the investigation in Mumbai.
