Rahul thinks he can propose to any girl because of his status: Yuvraaj Malhotra
New comer Yuvraaj Malhotra is excited about his first major break-playing the spoilt child of Renuka Shahane and Ayub Khan post leap, in Sony's much talked about ‘trump card" - 'Jeete hain Jiske Liye'.

Q: How did it feel when you were singed up to be a part of the second generation in 'Jeete Hain Jiske Kiye'?
A: It's a great feeling to be part of the new generation in the serial. I have shot for it today and it was lovely.

Q: Is this your first serial?
A: Yes this is very much my first venture in television.

Q: What had you been doing prior to this?
A: I was working as an interior designer in Delhi and I'm also a model. So I had kept myself busy with that. I was also doing theatre. So that is all about me.

Q: So how did the show fall into your lap?
A: Actually the leap was planned a long time back and I was keen on doing the serial too. I had appeared for the auditions and gave the screen test, after which I was short listed and finalized.

Q: When did you decide to become an actor?
A: I have a theater background. In fact, my father was also an anchor and had worked with Raj Babbar and actors of that time. Acting is in my blood and so I decided to become a television actor.

Q: So what is your role al about?
A: No I'm playing the lead and Renuka Shahane's child. Well, I play a spoilt brat named Rahul Dhanrajgill. Since I do not have my mother with me, my father (Ayub Khan) pampers me with a lot of money. I have got everything that I have wanted. I play a cool dude who thinks he can do anything. He thinks he can slap anyone or propose to any girl because of his status.

Q: How is it working with senior actor like Renuka Shahane and Ayub Khan?
A: I am honored working with them. They are such good actors. I was always keen on working with them.

Q: Have you been watching the serial?
A: Yes I had been watching the serial and I liked it too. I wanted to work in the serial and I'm happy that I'm working in it.

Q: So were you nervous facing the camera for the first time?
A: No not at all. I was not nervous. The people out here are so good that I feel comfortable with them.

Q: Do you feel that the serial needs to pick up on something to get better ratings?
A: No it is already at its peak and nothing needs to be altered.

Q: So in that case do you feel that the new generation would be able to match up to the older generation's standards?
A: Yes why not? We all are very confident with our new team and will certainly match up with the older generation.

Q: Were you offered other roles too?
A: See since this is my first television venture, I wanted to play a good role in a good serial with good actors. Yes I had been offered other serial too like in Zee's Maayka and Star Plus' Sanjeevani which is beginning with the new season.

But this was the best offer for me so I took it up. I do not want to take up any other role since I want to concentrate on this serial now. - Mili S.
