Bollywood sensation and Indian rapper/singer Badshah, who was investigated to run a 'fake followers racket' has denied the allegations that he paid Rs 72 lakh to get 7.2 crore views for his track 'Pagal Hai' to break the record of getting the highest views in just 24 hours.

In the investigation, it is cleared that this was not the only track for which he bought the views on YouTube but he did this for many of his other songs too. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nandkumar Thakur said "The singer confessed that he wanted to set a world record for the most number of viewers in a day on YouTube. That is why he paid Rs. 72 lakh to this company". He added that "Apart from Pagal Hai, we are also scrutinizing his other songs posted on social media".

Whereas, the singer has refused this news and denied any of the allegations by saying `Following the summons, I have spoken to the Mumbai Police. I have aided the officials in their investigation by cooperating and carrying out the due diligence on my part. I've categorically denied all the allegations levelled against me and made it clear that I was never involved in such practices, nor do I condone them,` he said in a statement. `The investigation procedure is being executed in accordance with the law and I have complete faith in the authorities, who are handling this matter. I'd like to thank all those who have conveyed their concern to me. It means a lot to me.`

Badshah said that his song beat the record set by Taylor Swift & and the Korean boy band BTS by getting over 72 million views, just in 24 hours but the interesting thing is, google rejected the claim.
