The passing of a legend - 'Rahat Indori'
Remember 'Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi' Shayari which became viral on TikTok and started trending on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram during 2020 Valentine's week. The famous lines were recited by noted poet and lyricist Rahat Indori but the famous poet passed away due to coronavirus infection on August 11th.

On Tuesday, the late poet was admitted for treatment in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh) where the chest department head Dr. Ravi Dosi told PTI that the poet had pneumonia and was being given oxygen. But unfortunately, he failed to cope with the virus and said goodbye to the world. Rahat Indori also tweeted his fans before his death that he tested COVID-19 positive and wrote, "कोविड के शरुआती लक्षण दिखाई देने पर कल मेरा कोरोना टेस्ट किया गया, जिसकी रिपोर्ट पॉज़िटिव आयी है.ऑरबिंदो हॉस्पिटल में एडमिट हूँ दुआ कीजिये जल्द से जल्द इस बीमारी को हरा दूँ एक और इल्तेजा है, मुझे या घर के लोगों को फ़ोन ना करें, मेरी ख़ैरियत ट्विटर और फेसबुक पर आपको मिलती रहेगी." Rahat Indori was awarded a PhD in Urdu literature from the Bhoj University of Madhya Pradesh in 1985 for his thesis titled Urdu Main Mushaira. Rahat Indori performed in Mushairas and Kavi Sammelans for the last 40 - 45 Years. He traveled widely internationally to recite poetry and attended poetic symposiums in almost all the districts of India.
