Q: So now that you are playing the daughter of Renuka, how does it feel?
A: It feels great that I'm getting the opportunity to be sharing the screen with Renuka and Ayub. At present I have not shot with Renuka but I'm looking forward to it.
Q: How will be your character this time round?
A: I'm playing today's girl called Ayesha. She is someone who is pampered by all the family members because she does not have a mother. She has had all the luxuries in life because of the money that her father possesses.
But she is not such a spoilt brat like her brother Rahul, but there is that teenage rebellious attitude there.
Q: Will you possess the characteristics like that of your mother Anjali?
A: I do not know the outline of Renuka's character but I will play a girl of today.
Q: How different will be the look this time?
A: According to my character, I have changed the look too. The funky red hairs are no longer there and she is dressed more like a girl rather than a tom-boy.
Q: What made you accept the role?
A: See after 'Remix', I did not want to do the dailies thus I took a break of nearly one year. This serial was different and I thought that it would be a good opportunity for me to work with good actor in a good serial. So I took it up.
Q: So what had you been up to post 'Remix'?
A: Post 'Remix' I had done a cameo in 'Yess Boss' and C.I.D. then I went for a vacation in Sikkim and did things that I had always wanted to do since the time I got busy with 'Remix'.
Q: Are you excited working with senior actors like Renuka and Ayub?
A: Yes it is exciting. Both of them are in this industry for a very long time now and have a lot of working experience. So I'm looking forward to it which I'm sure would be a good learning experience for me.
Q: what kind of roles had you been looking forward to?
A: I wanted to do roles which I could identify with. I really did not want to enter into a daily saga where the roles are something which I do not find exciting. I had been waiting for something like the one which I'm currently doing.
Q: What is up the film front? Are you interested in doing films too?
A: Nothing as of now but I would be doing films if something exciting lands my way. Till now I have not received any offers yet.
Q: Had you been watching the serial?
A: Frankly no. I had not watched it ever before.
Q: What do you think the serial needs to pick up on?
A: See I do not know anything about the serial's TRPs or things like that. I feel that it has done well so far and after the leap it will certainly gain more popularity because of the entry of the younger generation. I think that now even the youngsters would be watching the serial.
Q: Do you feel more responsibility on your shoulders especially because the senior artists have done pretty well so far?
A: Yes the moment you sign the serial you do start to feel the responsibility on your shoulders. I know that the senior artistes have done well but all that I want to do now is put in my best efforts and leave things to happen. - (SAMPURN)
