After the Supreme Court orders to transfer Sushant Singh Rajput's death case from Mumbai police to CBI, several hidden facts about Rhea Chakraborty have been revealed by the investigation bureau. Recently, a new drug angle has emerged in the case after the NCB investigation was launched after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) alerted them about purported WhatsApp conversations between Rhea Chakraborty and drug dealer regarding cannabidiol, LSD, MDMA, and marijuana.

Director-General, NCB, Rakesh Asthana told a leading media house, `We have launched a formal investigation under the provisions of the NDPS to unearth the nexus of trafficking. We have formed a special investigation team (SIT) under the supervision of Deputy Director (Operations) K P S Malhotra and will probe all possible angles.`

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday filed a criminal case against Rhea Chakraborty and others to probe their alleged dealings in banned drugs. The officials said, "Sections 20, 22, 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) have been pressed in the complaint filed by the federal anti-drug agency on an official reference received from the Enforcement Directorate (ED)."

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday also summoned Rhea Chakraborty's talent manager, Jaya Saha. A senior ED official said, "Jaya has been asked to appear again, as the financial probe agency wanted to question her about the drug angle. They have also sought the help of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in this regard."
