Hyderabad civil court restrained Netflix from releasing the web series 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India'!

On Tuesday, Hyderabad civil court restrained Netflix from releasing the web series 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' which was ready to be streamed by Netflix on September 2nd. A petition was filed by the founder of Satyam Computer Services, B Ramalinga Raju who was convicted in the Satyam scam amounting to over Rs 7,000 crore, and on his appeal the court has passed a restraining injunction on the series.

B Ramalinga Raju has claimed that the series narrative contained half-truths and was palpably designed to bring down his reputation. On the other side, Mehul Choksi, who is also accused of various financial frauds, had sought a preview of the documentary. He too earlier approached the Delhi High Court through his lawyer but his plea was declined by the court.

In August month, Netflix had announced that the documentary 'Bad BoyBillionaires: India' based on the four biggest scams of India which include Nirav Modi scam, Satyam, Sahara and Kingfisher scam will release on September 2 but due to its controversial theme the series is unable to stream on the Netflix now. 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' is directed by Dylan Mohan Gray with Francis Broadhurst and Reva Sharma serving as series producers and Morgan Matthews as executive producer. 'Bad Boy Billionaires: India' is edited by Dominic Coke.
