Himesh Reshammiya has managed to convince Mallika Sherawat to do a song for his debut film Aap Kaa Surroor — The Movie — The Real Luv Story, and has also gotten her to groove on a remixed version of Sholay's Mehbooba for a promotional video.

This isn't the first time Himesh is reworking the Mehbooba number. Earlier, Ram Gopal Verma had roped him in to work on the track for his adaptation of Sholay. But Himesh says his version is a tribute to RD Burman, though it won't be a part of the film.

It was Bhushan Kumar's idea to record the cover version of Mehbooba with Ashaji (Bhosle) and me. This will be a bonus track in the soundtrack of the film.
