Do you remember Malaysian aircraft flight MH370, which disappeared on March 8th, 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to its planned destination, Beijing Capital International Airport? Although, the aircraft has not been located fully, and several prompting theories about its disappearance have been written by many authors. Indeed, these kinds of mysterious stories always catch one's mind. With this, SonyLIV is coming with a new web-series 'JL50'. Well, the makers didn't mention anything regarding this web series being inspired by any true events.
The web-series is set on the drop back of Lava, West Bengal, India, and talks about a missing aircraft named `JL50 Plane` that inadvertently goes missing and only appeared 35 years later in an unusual circumstance. In the series, Abhay Deol plays the role of an investigating officer, who questions Pankaj Kapur about the airplane to which Pankaj denotes this unusual incident as time travel. With context to the storyline, speculations are also floating The story appears to be inspired by AN-12 transport aircraft which disappeared on February 7, 1968, and found in 2003. The aircraft reportedly carried 80 soldiers from Chandigarh to Leh. It was last contacted over the Rohtang pass and then declared missing after the failure to find the wreck.
But according to Wikipedia, there is no such mention of an airplane named 'JL50' or any other aircraft carrier that mysteriously reappeared after a span of 35 years. Helmed by Shailender Vyas, 'JL50', featuring Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapur in the lead roles. The show will stream on SonyLIV, September 4th.
