Metro looks at the lives of people living in the fast lanes of Mumbai.
Rahul is one such man with dreams of making it big one day in this city of fame and fortune.
Working as a call centre executive, Rahul is secretly in love with his boss, Neha, a smart woman who has
reached the top in a short time.
But Neha only has eyes for Ranjeet, her superior, who readily showers her with gifts and business
opportunities.
In his mid 30s, Ranjeet is already married to Shikha and they have a six-year-old son. Highly educated,
Shikha dreamt of having a career but Ranjeet decided that she becomes a housewife whilet he concentrates
on making a small fortune in the business world.
But somewhere on the way, Ranjeet forgets his family as his quest for money becomes his main priority.
So, bitterness and boredom creeps into their relationship. It is at this point in time that he finds a fresh lease
of life in Neha - an extra marital affair. As time goes by, Neha ask for a commitment but will Ranjeet
agree?
Neglected by her husband and bogged down by housework, Shikha gets attracted to Akash, a struggling
theatre actor on the rebound from a divorce.
As their love for each other blossoms, Shikha finds it hard to resist the physical side of their relationship.
Meanwhile, Amol is a 70-year-old man who has returned to India after 40 years, to spend his last few days
with his first love, Vaijanti. But will Amol be able to fulfil his wish till the very end?
Shikha's sister and Neha's room-mate, Shruti, works for a local radio station. Still single at the age of 30,
she's desperate to get married.
Already infatuated by Wishy K, the radio presenter, her boss fixes their first date and in no time, cupid
strikes between the two. But Wishy K is hiding a dark secret which will change Shruti's life forever.
Metro -Life in the City, is a film showing how the lives of these characters become interlinked somewhere
along the way and how living in the Metro affects their daily lives.
