Permanent Roommates' fame Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh are back once-again with Amazon Prime Video's new rib-tickling web series "Wakaalat From Home". The trailer gave us quite a quirky view of what was to come to our screens and now that it has, let's take a look at what this much-loved jodi has brought to our screens.

Wakaalat From Home is the story of a married couple Sujin Kohli (Sumeet Vyas) and Radhika Sen (Nidhi Singh) who are stuck in different cities amidst the lockdown. As it is believed by many that long-distance relationships never work, similarly, the distance between Sujin and Radhika starts affecting their love life. Radhika thinks that Sujin is having an extramarital affair whereas Sujin has doubts about Radhika's sexuality thinking that she is a lesbian. Things start going south in their relationship and soon the duo decides to take the divorce road.

The interesting part is, due to the Covid-19 pandemic court hearings are going digital and this is where the real 'Waqaalat From Home' starts. Enter Rajini Tacker (Kubbra Sait) and Lobo Tripathi (Gopal Dutt) on-screen, the respective lawyers of Sujin and Radhika, one is the North Pole and the other is the South Pole. This difference in their personalities creates a humorous ambience; and the divorce proceeds over zoom call. The case turns into a hilarious banter with the entry of the judge (Akarsh Khurana). To know how the case proceeds further and whether the duo gets separated or they reunite, you need to watch it.

The web series is directed by Rohan Sippy, who has done a great job with this show. Rohan along with the entire team of "Wakaalat From Home", deserves a big applause for such a unique and challenging initiative. From remembering the lines and acting in front of mobile phones or laptops, to joining different chunks and editing to create such an amazing show is one hell of a job. But the team of' "WFH" has managed to do so with limited resources. The editing, cinematography and screenplay are so neatly done that even if there is any flaw, your mind just skips the part.

Talking about performances, the character of a lazy guy who tries to opt various professions and thinks that he is a cool looks tailor-made for Sumeet Vyas, and Nidhi Singh also donnes the role of a journalist who cries like a kid beautifully. Both Sumeet and Nidhi portray the perfect couple, who never miss a chance to fight about their silly mistakes and find it cute at the same time. Their amazing dialogues just put extra spices to the series.

Gopal Dutt is a natural actor and his dialogue delivery, expressions and behaviour are like extra icing on the cake of comedy. Kubbra Sait is equally brilliant and her character just gets better with each passing episode.

Overall, the sad yet funny series of Wakaalat From Home is a delightful comedy that tickles you till the end. Spoiler alert! do not watch it with your family! If you are someone who loves comedy or just a fan of Sumeet and Nidhi series, then this should be on top of your bucket list.
