The action-packed first trailer for Disney+'s "The Mandalorian" debuted Tuesday and promised plenty of everyone's favorite character: Baby Yoda.
The new season of the "Star Wars" series, which is available for streaming on Disney+ Oct. 30, picks up with The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and Baby Yoda - ahem, the Child - "continuing their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire," Disney+ announced Tuesday.
The new trailer catches The Mandalorian grappling with his quest to return Baby Yoda: "You expect me to search the galaxy and deliver this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?" he asks as the creature in question adorably perks up his ears and looks up at his galactic guardian.
Earlier this year at the Golden Globes, Jon Favreau, "Mandalorian" creator, head writer and showrunner who also returns this season as a director and executive producer, set the record straight exclusively that Baby Yoda is not the child version of legendary "Star Wars" character Yoda.
"The series timeline takes place after 'Return of the Jedi,' " explained Favreau. "And fans of the original trilogy will remember that Yoda not only passes away but actually disappears. So Yoda exists as a Force Ghost."
