On the sexual assault allegations, Anurag Kashyap released a press statement and stated that all the allegations imposed on him are completely false, malicious, and dishonest. Anurag's former assistant Jaydeep Sarkar has also defended the filmmaker on social media and shared several tweets in his support and recalled the incident from 'Gulaal' film casting. He stated that a female actor suggested sexual favors in exchange for work from Anurag but he clearly denied her. Later on, Anurag felt disappointed at what some women have to do to get work in the film industry.
