The 25th film in the James Bond series, 'No Time To Die' was all set to release in November 2020 but in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience, the makers have decided to postpone the release date for next year. 'Tenet' was the first Hollywood tent-pole to open in theaters after the pandemic shut down and has grossed $307 million worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of 2020. It seems like the makers of 'NO TIME TO DIE' do not want to take a risk with the success of the film and want to wait for the theatres to reopen completely worldwide. As most of the theatres are open globally but with only 50% occupancy that is affecting the gross collection of the films.

The official handle of James Bond tweeted, "MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, today announced the release of NO TIME TO DIE, the 25th film in the James Bond series, will be delayed until 2 April 2021 in order to be seen by a worldwide theatrical audience." In the follow up tweet, they further wrote, "We understand the delay will be disappointing to our fans but we now look forward to sharing NO TIME TO DIE next year,` read a tweet on the film's official handle." 'No Time To Die' is a forthcoming spy film and the twenty-fifth installment in the James Bond film series produced by Eon Productions. The film features Daniel Craig in his fifth and reportedly final outing as the fictional British MI6 agent James Bond. The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Fukunaga, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, and Ralph Fiennes reprise their roles from previous films, with Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen and David Dencik joining the cast as new characters. The film is now set to hit the theatres on April 2nd, 2021.
