The idea of "Doli Saja Ke":
Actually when I was a kid I had seen movies like 'Sujata', 'Anupama' and I started liking the concept as it touched my heart so I saw it again and again and that is why I had this concept related to women in my mind and so I took a rough idea of the character from these two movies but the story is different.
About the story:
It is a women-centric story revolving around a character named Anupama played by Barkha Bisht, who struggles to gain her father Vikramjeet Kapoor aka Anuj Saxena's love as he treats her as "manhoos" since her birth coincides her mother's death. So she grows up believing this myth.
Why women centric show again?
Women centric because most of the target audience and viewers are women and in India such things against women still prevail so one can easily relate to it and as it touches your emotions so we hope we can give a message through our show to people - stop believing such myths and keep giving love.
Why only Barkha Bisht and not Sangeeta Ghosh, your favourite?
Actually when I saw Barkha Bisht when she came down to my office for audition it just clicked that she is the perfect one for this role as she is dusky and simple. And about Sangeeta Ghosh, I would love to work with her again but she has a different personality which does not suit the role.
Can we see you in this serial?
Yes definitely, but later in the show and I will be seen in positive role. - (SAMPURN)
