Q: Firstly, Sayali tell us what is The Train all about?
A: The Train is the story about a husband and a wife. Before their marriage when they were still having an affair, the couple had a petty good and normal relationship. However, after marriage the relationship changed due to responsibilities, boredom and fig
hts.
Thus, what happens is that an extra-marital affair sets in. Then there is a suspense angle in the film showing how this couple overcomes the hardships.
Q: People say it is on the lines of Murder...
A: (laughs) No, it is not like that. In Murder, the extra-marital affair was due to some reason and here it is due to some other. Q: In you debut movie you play a wife and a mother ...
A: Yes, in one movie itself I get to play a cheerful and bubbly girlfriend, a wife and then a responsible mother in different stages. I took it up because of the many shades that the character offered.
Q: How was it working with Emraan Hashmi, especially when he has been tagged as the serial kisser in Bollywood?
A: Initially I was very scared, but when I started working with him and got to know him personally, I found out that he is a very sweet and down-to-earth person with a good sense of humour.
Q: How is your rapport with Geeta Basra?
A: Actually I do not cross her path in the movie and thus, we do not have any scenes together. So, I do not know her too well. But from what ever I have heard about her, she is a sweet girl.
Q: Which has been the most memorable moment during the shooting?
A: It would be the last day of the shooting. I was thinking that I have been working for this film for the past four month and now it is finishing today. It was a sentimental moment for me.
Q: And the horrifying moment?
A: There was a scene where Emraan is cooking for me and he serves the food in a closed vessel. Well, I was only told that I had to look shocked when he opens the vessel. I was not aware that there was a lobster in it and when Emraan opened the vessel, I was literally horrified and jumped out of the chair screaming (laughs).
Q: Was acting always on the cards for you?
A: No, it happened gradually for me. No matter how cliché it sounds; I was into modeling and slowly when offers came to me from Bollywood, I thought why not give it a try.
Q: Do you feel winning a beauty pageant makes it easier for an actress in Bollywood?
A: No, I do not think so. One has to always work hard to get into Bollywood and here too one has to be a good performer to sustain.
Q: You must have had a pre-conceived notion about Bollywood. Do you find it the same now?
A: When I decided to enter Bollywood, a lot of my model friends told me that it is very difficult to sustain out there. But when I came here I found that the people out here are pretty cooperative and I did not have any kind of difficulty.
Q: What are your future projects?
A: It is a pat on my back that I have been signed for two more films by the producer.
Q: So what kind of roles are you looking forward to?
A: I want to do all kinds of roles that Bollywood commercial movies have to offer.
Q: The release date of the movie has been postponed. What do you think will be the effect of this?
A: I think it will only help the movie. The promos will be on air for a longer time now and will boost the movie.
Q: So, how will you be feeling on the eve of the release of the movie?
A: I think I will be excited since it is my first movie. But I think there will also be 50 percent nervousness.
