John is a player all right. And we don't just mean his playing the game his own clever way in Bollywood. Better known for his six-pack abs than the less than six expressions on his face, John Abraham was in London shooting for Vivek Agnihotri's Goal in which he plays a football player.

During the shoot, John who is more famous for his love for speed riding on his Harley bike than the sport that boasts David Beckham's "bending" shots, hurt his shin badly.

In fact, he needed to undergo acupressure treatment and also see a physiotherapist. Director Agnihotri revealed that John hurt himself while we were in London when they were shooting the climax scene of Goal. It is the critical match in the storyline of the film and John was on the field with all the other actors.

The shoot happened at the Manchester United Stadium and a team of trainers were flown down to train the actors in Mumbai for the game.

All of a sudden he came down with this pain in his shin. Since the unit had been working on this football scene for many days, John had unknowingly injured himself seriously, and the injury slowly built itself up to a critical stage. John had been involved with a lot of running around despite the intense cold in London which aggravated the injury.

"We immediately called a doctor and a physiotherapist as John was in severe pain," said director Agnihotri. -
