On August 28th, Kangana Ranaut announced her next film 'Tejas' will go on floors in December this year. The actress also shared a poster from the film, in which she can be seen standing in front of an IAF fighter plane while donning the uniform and posing for the camera. Now, the actress has started preparing for the film as her director and other cast members have joined her in her hometown Manali, Himachal Pradesh. The actress is in the hills because of the ongoing wedding functions in her family.

Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and shared a short video of attending the workshop with director Sarvesh Mewara and Wing Commander Abhijeet Gokhale. The actress tweeted, "Today team #Tejas started workshops, very pleased to start work with super talented director Sarvesh Mewara ⁦@sarveshmewara1 and our coach Wing Commander Abhijeet Gokhale.... @RonnieScrewvala @RSVPMovies." Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, 'Tejas' is the story of a daring and fierce fighter pilot, played by Kangana Ranaut. The Indian Air Force was the first of the country's defense forces to induct women into combat roles in 2016 and the film is inspired by this landmark event. Director Razneesh Razy Ghai has co-written the film with Chintan Gandhi and Rinish Ravindra and the screenplay has been written by Ritesh Shah. Dhaakad has been produced by Sohail Maklai productions and Asylum films, co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media. The film is expected to release in 2021.
