The new challenge for Manish Malhotra is styling for the self-stylised Rajnikant. Rajnikant who had redefined the idea of cool, has now submitted himself to the designer who
has worked on the looks of stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan.
The well-known director, Shankar, roped in Manish for his film Sivaji, where Rajnikant plays a larger-than-life character. The film is shot in Spain and the lead actor had a
larger-than-life image demanding a magnanimous look.
The look Manish has given him is a younger look with suits, denims shirts and jeans. For his large-than-life
image velvet suits, leather and a suede wardrobedid the trick.
Manish Malhotra also found Rajnikant very down-to-earth and humble during their entire interaction. It was his third meeting with the star.
Apparently Rajnikant
knew very little about Malhotra and was introduced to him by his daughter before. He was very sweet to Malhotra in spite of not knowing him too well. "He was a thorough
gentleman. As disciplined as the industry in South is known to be. I loved working with him," gushes Manish.
If manish were to design for Rajnikant he would give him well-structured suits, a fantastic salt-and-pepper look. The sun-kissed look or bronze make-up would be great to
highlight his complexion. I would also give him oblong-shaped sunglasses, which would suit his face.
