Shah Rukh Khan who has taken quite a long break from the filmy business is spending some quality time with his family and skips no chance to cheer up his IPL team. And now the actor is gearing up for his upcoming film 'Pathan'. Directed by WAR director Sidharth Anand's, the film will also star Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles.

And now we have received an update on the multistarrer. As per reports, the makers of 'Pathan' are planning to release the film on Diwali next year. A source said, `Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra go down a long way and most of the SRK - YRF films have arrived during the Diwali weekend. Pathan will be no different. They are planning the schedule as well as post-production in a manner that the film releases on Diwali next year.`

Reports suggest that action-packed entertainment film will go on floors from November this year. It also revealed that most of the scenes will be filmed in Mumbai where Shah Rukh`s solo portions will be shot. Deepika and John will join the team later. The report said, `It's going to be one of the biggest action films of Bollywood, and what better than Diwali for this Dhamaka.`

Meanwhile, King Khan was last seen in Anand L Rai's Zero, and now the superstar will be back on the silver screen almost after three years. It is also rumored that SRK has collaborated with South director Atlee for his next project where Shah Rukh will be playing the double role.
