The reports suggested that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor along with Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy will shoot for 10 days in Mumbai and it would be an indoor shot as two songs are yet to be filmed and Ayan is planning to shoot it on a large scale which requires a large number of background dancers. But for now, Ayan and the cast have to wait till the situations wouldn't be improved.
According to the sources, "A 10-Day shoot of Brahmastra begins in Mumbai they have already shot for 173 days and by the time the film wraps up, it will be 200 days. While Ranbir plays Shiva, who has the power to emit fire from his hand, Alia is his love interest Isha. Nagarjuna slips into the role of an archaeologist with Bachchan as RK's Guru and Mouni as the antagonist. In the film, SRK will play a cameo role as a scientist." Mouni Roy has joined the star cast in Mumbai and shared its glimpse on the Instagram story. More about Ranbir's role, director Ayan Mukherjee revealed that the inspiration behind Ranbir Kapoor's character came from Rumi who also inspired the first look of his character. Mukherji also drew inspiration from Rumi's work, "love is the bridge between you and everything" to build the foundation of the movie. Later, Mukherji revealed that the Rumi-inspired look was scrapped and Kapoor had gotten a haircut instead.
'Brahmāstra: Part One of Three' is a fantasy film written and directed by Ayan Mukerji, and produced by Karan Johar. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.
