Buoyed by this success, KBJ Entertainment, which is gearing up for the release of their second short film 'Monya', is also planning to venture into the arena of feature and digital films. Confirming the same, producer Harshada Patankar said, `Me and Swar had been thinking about forming our production house for years and we finally managed to do that with 'Mishti Doi', which was a grand success and a great source of motivation and encouragement for us. However, we have decided to not restrict ourselves to just short films but are aiming for feature and digital films too, though we will always keep making short films as long as the story touches us.`
Talking about their vision, Harshada added, `At KBJ Entertainment, the focus will always be on good stories that will not only entertain the audiences, but will also give across a message without being too preachy. This has been our guiding principle when we started off making short films and it will continue even when we graduate to feature-length films.`
KBJ Entertainment's upcoming short film is titled 'Monya' and it revolves around a father-daughter relationship. Starring actor Rishi Deshpande, Ankita Nikrad, Deepa Sagar Amre, Abhijit Deo and Milind Uke, 'Monya' has been written by writer duo Jaidev Hemmady and Shibu Sable, directed by Shibu Sable and shot by DOP Bhavesh Rawal, the same team that had worked on 'Mishti Doi' with KBJ Entertainment.
'Monya' is currently in the post-production stage and the release date of the short film will be announced soon with a teaser poster.
