Hordes of movie buffs gathered to greet Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan during his visit to South African City Durban for the premier of his latest flick Aankhen.Surprised at the grand welcome he received from the crowd that had gathered despite the rough weather and the heavy rain, Big B said: "My fans in South Africa have always welcomed me with the affection and warmth unmatched anywhere in the world".

Amitabh Bachchan's South-African visit is also given exclusive coverage by the local media there. The National broadcaster SABC TV covered his arrival at the Durban airport and also aired a special piece about his life and work. Besides this, several editorials on Big B (including his posters) have appeared in Durban newspapers – Daily News, The Post and Mercury.

After Durban Big B is slated to visit Cape Town and Johannesburg to promote his new flick Aankhen which is based on a story about a strange bank robbery featuring three blind men.
