What do Raveena Tandon and Tabu have in common? They are both talented, have led controversial lives, have had a broken relationship, started their careers in masala movies and come from a film background. So what was it that didn`t make them friends earlier?It was their choice of films. From debuting in big banner films — Tabu in Hum Naujawan and Raveena in Patthar Ke Phool — all they would earlier worry about is who`s bagging what assignment or which producer is on what terms with the other.

Funnily enough, it was their choice of films that brought them together. After having gone through the grind of hardcore commercial cinema, both have turned their attention to off-mainstream cinema. On the sets of Mahesh Manjrekar`s Pran Jaye Par Chawl Na Jaye, visitors were in for a surprise. Even Manjrekar was not prepared for what he calls "a historic event".Both Tabu and Raveena, who also have a certain Sanjay Kapoor to their credit at a certain time of their lives, looked beautiful in starched cotton sarees and were glued to each other throughout the 27-day shoot.
