Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan is finally gearing himself all up for his debut in the Hindi film industry which is reportedly being backed by YRF. As per the media reports, the film will be a mega-budget period drama which is to be helmed by Hichki director Siddharth P Malhotra. Now new reports are suggesting that Pataal Lok fame Jaideep Ahlawat has grabbed a pivotal role in this drama film.

Based on the 1862 Maharaj libel case and tentatively titled as 'Maharaja', Jaideep will be seen essaying the role of a religious leader Godman Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj who was accused of having sexual connections with his women devotees. On the other hand, Junaid will be portraying the role of a reformer and journalist Karsandas Mulji who will be seen exposing the wrong works of Maharaj.

Reportedly, the period-drama will be filmed on Madh Island as the film demands a big setup. The project is also said to go on floors in early 2021. Meanwhile, reports were also rife that Junaid can also be seen in the remake of Malayalam film 'Ishq' which will be a romantic thriller. It was also being said that Neeraj Pandey will produce the remake.

Well, talking about Junaid Khan, the star kid is busy nourishing his acting skills in the theatres for the last three years. And now Aamir fans are quite excited to witness the performance of Junaid on the big screen. In an interview with a leading portal, Aamir had earlier said that Junaid wants to be in films and said he had also warned him about the comparisons which will be always there being the son of a superstar.
