From the year 1995, it was truly a rising phase for the actor and his candy flosses romantic films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota hai made him earn the title of king of romance and the dreamy boy which majority of the Indian girls looks for! No wonder why King Khan enjoys a massive fan following everywhere he goes.
But is King Khan still entertaining his fans with his work like he earlier used to do? Probably not. We truly miss the old Shah Rukh and his movies as they gave us countless memories to live our young teen days. Though the actor tried his hands on every plate, what he best served are his romantic roles for which he is known worldwide. There was a time when he and romance were the best combination ever but that's no more the case. Indian audience is tired of watching him in typical romantic films with a predictable story. It's high time for Shah Rukh now to give a deep thought to the stories he chooses to be the face of.
Honestly, we do not see that energy level which he used to carry in his 1990s to early 2000s days. One more factor that contributes to the fact that he has lost his charm is his poor choice of films. It is disappointing for fans when their hero picks a role of a dwarf at the age of 52 because it doesn't go well on the screen. Well, we're talking about Zero. The career challenges the actor is going through the last few years were also witnessed at the time when his movies like 'Ashoka' and 'Shakti: The Power' failed terribly at the Indian box offices. His aura of the 1990s, his emotional appeal on the camera, seems to have faded away with time.
Also, the media gave him a name 'Brand SRK' for his endorsements and new ventures which somewhere took his energy and time which ultimately resulted in the unattractive performances of the actor. The star should now consider stepping out of his comfort zone and try out some other genres to entertain his fans with something new and attractive. Probably he can stay in his comfort of going with rom-coms which at least doesn't cost him a failure. Works like 'Chennai Express' and 'Dilwale' can be taken as examples.
And with that thought, it brings us to the main question 'Will he be back this time'? After a pretty long gap of three years, SRK is finally gearing up himself to roar on the big screens. But with the number of projects he has lined up ahead himself, one can doubt the quality of these mega-budget projects. But, as the actor has kick-started the shoot of his actioner 'Pathan', no one can deny the fact that this film might prove his next blockbuster as the team is playing safe this time. A full-proved team of actors, director and action can take King Khan back to the track. Until the film hit the theatres, let's hope Shah Rukh Khan to be back this time!
