A close friend of Dutt reveals, "Sanju was with Salman Khan at the premiere. Naturally they didn't want to run into Viviek Oberoi. This caused a delay in the screen where Sanju and Salman were to see the film.
By the time it started it was nearly 11 pm. Not late by Mumbai standards. But Sanju had to attend court the next morning. So after seeing the new White Feather logo in the credit titles Sanju left."
However the actor was really keen to catch Shootout. ... He finally found the time on Monday afternoon when he made it to the Juhu PVR for an afternoon screening with his friend, business partner and producer Sanjay Gupta.
Says Gupta, "Sanju saw the film very minutely and even pointed out two errors in the end-titles. But the best was his interaction with the audience. A 20-year old kid wanted a photograph with Sanju.
When he saw the boy smoking Sanju snubbed the kid and agreed to a picture only if the kid stopped smoking. The best thing was, Sanju himself was smoking while admonishing the kid."
The most touching moment came when Dutt saw a group of twenty senior citizens in a corner of the theatre. Says Gupta, "Sanju walked up to them and shook hands with each of them. You should've seen the expression on their faces. Sanju knows how to feel for people around him."
