Karishma Tanna was last seen in a negative role in ‘Ek Ladki Anjani Si' and now she is taking a break from television and looking to doing films. She says that she is not interested in doing any more roles in television, but is aggressively looking forward to a career in Bollywood. Recently, we spoke to her about her future plans. Here is the excerpt.

Q: What are you doing presently?
A: Presently, I am doing a lot of fashion shows, anchoring and other things. I'm also out looking for a good role.

Q: Have you received any roles yet?
A: Yes, I have received a few roles, but I do not find them interesting enough. Actually, I'm taking break from television so I am not too keen on roles out here.

Q: So is the film career in the pipeline?
A: Yes, I have a project in the pipeline, but it is too early too say anything.

Q: Is that role appealing?
A: I think that as a beginner in films, it is a good role, but then, as I said, it is too early to say anything.

Q: What kind of roles are you looking forward to?
A: I do not want to do negative character or comedy any more. I think I would like to do a detective kind of role and would be glad if I'm offered with one.

Q: So how was your experience in ‘Ek Ladki....'?
A: Mind blowing.... It was the first negative character that I had done and it was one of the few good characters that have been offered to me thus far. The production house is also very good.

Q: Are you missing ‘Ek Ladki....' and your co-stars?
A: I miss my character a lot and not my co-stars.

Q: How has been your experience in the television industry so far?
A: It has been a good journey so far. I have matured so much, I have understood so many things, I have understood people and the way they work. I have understood how to deal with people and situations.

Q: Do you find any changes in the industry?
A: No, I do not find any changes.

Q: You said that you are anchoring. Is it a television show?
A: No, it is not in television shows, but live events and concerts. I'm really enjoying my work. It is so different from acting and thus I'm happy doing it.

Q: And modeling?
A: Yes, I have just finished a modeling assignment and probably I would be doing another one soon.

Q: Do you relate to any of the characters that you have played?
A: I relate to all the characters that I have played till now to some extent or the other because I feel that no person can be an absolute comedy, stupid, negative or grey. It is a mixture of all these qualities. - Mili Swarnakar
